The Athena Institute
The Athena Institute is a non-profit key provider of information and tools for the sustainable building community. They use a life cycle assessment (LCA) approach to sustainability to create a level playing field for the vast array of building materials in use. They offer the only tools in North America for life cycle assessment of whole buildings and assemblies: the free spreadsheet tool, the Impact Estimator for Buildings software, and the EcoCalculator for Assemblies. -
