Solar Pumps

SHURflo offers the 9300 series submersible 24 VDC pump.  It features a long-life 24 VDC operation for wells 4" or larger.  The pump is made from corrosion-proof housing with stainless steel fasteners and delivers a steady 112 GPH with a maximum depth of 230 feet when supplied with 24 VDC.  The diaphragm pumps are used for transfer and dispense-on demand applications, and can be self primed up to 8 vertical feet.  The dispense on demand uses a built-in 60 PSI pressure demand switch.

Laing is a manufacturer of solar pump products for the consumer, industrial and commercial markets.  The D5 Solar Pump can be used for most circulation pump applications without connection to the power grid. The D5 Solar can be connected directly to a photovoltaic panel. 

Silicon Solar is a manufacturer of solar fountains and pumps.  The commercial solar pumps are used for irrigation systems, wells, stock animal feed and water transportation.  The solar water fountain pump can be used for residential landscape fountain, commercial landscape designs, and farming and agriculture landscape.

Solarkey is a manufacturer of solar powered pumps.  Products include  solar motor pumps, brushless pumps, brushless well pumps, brushless well pump systems, motor solar fountain kits, and brushless solar fountain kits.

Lorenz is a manufacturer of solar pumps and tracking systems.   Products include submersible pumps for solar and battery operation and surface pumps for irrigation, pond management and aquariums.

Rife manufactures solar pumps that are submersible, self-priming, float on water surface, have low power requirement and are designed for low-lift pumping from surface water sources such as ponds, streams,, lake, dams, and canals.  Uses include livestock watering, stream protection, water catchment, small-scale irrigation, and pond aeration.

Innovative Solar Solutions manufactures solar water pumps used to irrigate crops, water livestock, and provide potable drinking water.

The Ram Company manufactures solar pumps and solar submersible pumps.  Water output range is 700 to 1,800 gallons per day for a one inch ram; 700 to 3,000 gallons per day for a 1.5 inch ram; 700 to 4,000 gallons per day for a two inch ram and up to 16,000 gallons and more for a three inch ram.  

Thermal Technologies manufactures a lower power solar pump that transfers thermal energy from a solar collector to a storage tank through a heat transfer liquid. The UP 15-42F model uses 115 AC volts, .74 amps, and 85 watts.  The EI-SID 10 uses 12 - 17 DC volts, .6 - .85 amps and 10 watts.

Sunmotor International is a manufacturer of solar and DC powered pumps.  Applications include aeration, drainage, dewatering, irrigation, landscape design, remediation, village water supply and livestock watering.

Solar Water Technologies, Inc. manufactures five different solar water pump systems sized to a user's needs depending upon water depth, required production application and hours of daily sunlight.  

Safe Water Systems is a manufacturer of solar water pumping systems for deep and shallow well water pumping for domestic use, water pumping for irrigation or animal use and water pressurizing systems.  Features include flow rates of up to 10,000 liters per hour, solar or wind powered, depth to water up to 250 meters and pumps water from underground or surface sources.

Thermo Dynamics manufactures a PV powered, low flow solar pump which utilizes a positive displacement vane pump driven by a DC motor. A photovoltaic (PV) module drives the DC motor with a linear current booster that provides maximum performance at all solar irradiance levels.

NingBo YinZhou HuaYuan Electric manufactures five solar water pumps.  The lifts range in 10M, 20M, and 40M in height. 

Nemo Solar manufactures solar submersible well pumps which feature a water-tight, rubber-gasketed, all metal pump case designed for and fitted to a Flojet duplex diaphragm water pump.

Dunya Prestij Solar manufactures solar water pumps that are designed to utilize DC electric power from PV panels.  The submersible pump is used for deep wells.  A solar tracker may be used to tilt the PV array as the sun moves across the sky, which increases the energy gain by 55%.  The pump is used for live stock watering, irrigation, and domestic water.  The smallest  of the Dunya Prestiji solar pump line require less than 150 watts and can lift water from more than 65 meters deep. 

SunPumps offers submersible solar pumps and centrifugal solar pumps. The SDS series is a low cost submersible pump with 1/2 to 5 gallons per minute with up to 230 feet of lift.  The SCS series is a high power submersible with 2 to 200 GPM with up to 700 feet of lift.  The centrifugal surface pumps are high volume low-power surface water pumps.  The circulation, pressure boosting and shallow well applications range from 5 to 100 GPM, 120PSI, and up to 277 ft. of lift.  The SPB Piston Pump is a high-power low volume surface water pump with 1/2 to 12 GPM, 1000 PSI, and up to 2300 feet of lift. 

Monoflo is a manufacturer of solar powered water pumping systems for pumping water from boreholes, wells, lakes or rivers where electric or diesel power is unavailable or unreliable.  Features include a PC helical rotor that sweeps the full surface of the rubber stator every turn, making it impossible for growth or iron oxide deposits to develop; a low pump speed which means extended rotor and stator life in abrasive bores; a GPS sensor that provides precise latitude, longitude and time (operating on GMT), enabling the controller to continuously calculate the exact position of the sun and correctly position the solar array; the pump will slow down when it is cloudy, but because it has no minimum speed (unlike a centrifugal pump) it will keep delivering water.

More than 1 billion people are denied the right to clean water and 2.6 billion people lack access to adequte sanitation.  These statistics, taken from the 'Human Development Report 2006' by the United Nations Development Program, highlight the extent of the global water crisis.  It is Monoflo's goal to play a part in bringing water to every human being.  A huge challenge but one we feel adequately equipped to face.

In developing countries nearly all surface water is contaminated and therefore not 'safe drinking water'.  The most commonly used 'safe' water source is from underground boreholes.  Some form of pump is required to remove water from a borehole.

Most irrigation projects require a pump. In remote areas there is often poor access to the electricity grid making AC pumps impractical.  Diesel and petrol powered pumps are often used, however they are expensive to run.  Farmers ofter run out of money to operate their pumps before the crop is ready for harvest.

Monoflo offer a solar drip irrigation system for small scale irrigation projects, enabling sustainable agriculture.  Drip irrigation uses the least amount of water and ensures that the water source is used most effectively.

Robison Solar Systems manufactures well solar pumps, brushless pumps, and submersible solar pumps.  The well solar pumps come in single and double panel solar pumps.  Dual and quad pumps can pump from depths of 185 feet.  The brushless motor solar pumps are available with either dual or quad pistons.

Conergy offers solar water pumps including surface pumps and submersible pumps.  Conergy specializes in DC pumps that can operate directly from photovoltaic panels or from batteries. Pump models can be ordered with optional AC power inputs.  The SunCentric pump can be used in many applications including swimming pool filtration, hydronic heating, irrigation and aquaculture.  The Flowlight Booster Pump and Solar Force Piston pump are used by rural homes for water pressure needs.
